As the steering community chairman of the Nigerian Young Water Professionals , I would like to take a moment to answer some of the most pressing question you might have.
What is NYWP?
( The Chairman: Nigerian Young Water Professionals )
The NYWP is a network committed to building capacity among emerging water professionals, stimulate and encourage the continued interest of young Nigerians in water and the environment, and encourage water wise policies and practices in Nigeria. We are particularly passionate about helping people in the earlier stages of their studies and careers to become relevant in the global water sector, understand and explore the challenges and opportunities of the sector, build the skills they need to be impactful contributors to the sector and develop meaningful networks that will provide the insight, support, access and opportunities needed to build exciting, meaningful and challenging careers.

How can I get involved?
To get involve with NYWP.
Join our mailing list to stay updated about our events and other water sector activities. This is free of charge for anyone interested in the water sector.
Become a formal member of our network by becoming a member of the IWA. This gives you the added benefit of becoming embedded in the activities of these broader professional activities and gives you reduced rates to fee charging events.
Attend and participate in our events. These are advertised through the newsflashes and on the website.
Get involved with a provincial committee. If you feel that you have a project you are passionate about or just want the experience of serving on a committee and the vast exposure and learning that comes with this, please get in touch with the provincial chair in your province.
International Water Association (IWA)
The International Water Association (IWA) is an organisation that brings together people from across the water profession to deliver equitable and sustainable water solutions for our world. With headquarters in London and regional offices around the globe, the network has working clusters, specialist and task groups working on the most pressing water issues. The IWA creates thematic events and programmes to provide the network with a mechanism to respond to global challenges and support progressive agendas for the water and sanitation sector.
